About PMI Moscow chapter

PMI Moscow chapter is a nonprofit organization aiming to share experience, knowledge and skills of Project Managers and other project management specialists - chapter's members; to develop expertise in project management trough certification programs (CAPM, PMP, PgMP, etc.); to foster growth of recognition and appreciation of Project Manager profession in Russia.

PMI Moscow chapter represents an international organization Project Management Institute in Moscow and in other Russian regions through the branches of the Chapter.

Some facts about PMI Global

Founded in 1969, Project Management Institute has grown into the leading professional association in project management, which connects over 479 000 members. PMI is represented in more than 200 countries and territories through the locally operating Chapters and Communities of practice.

Nowadays, PMI unites professionals involved in project management in a wide range of sectors including information technology, telecommunications, industry, construction, public administration, consulting, financial and banking, pharmaceuticals, automotive, healthcare etc.

PMI develops standards in various fields of project management, organizes conferences, workshops, educational programs and professional certification, which is becoming increasingly attractive for professionals and organizations involved in project management.

About the development of PMI Moscow chapter

PMI Moscow chapter, founded in 1998, today includes more than 700 people. Anyone who is interested in project management and is a member of PMI may become a member of the Moscow chapter free of charge. Nowadays, drawing on the efforts of volunteers and support from sponsors, chapter provides its members with a number of opportunities related to the interests of project management professionals in Russia.

PMI Moscow chapter actiities

Among the current programs of our department:

  • organization of monthly open free seminars
  • holding conferences and project management forums
  • organization of training programs
  • program to promote the creation of a specialty "Project Management" in the Russian higher education
  • publication of project management literature in Russian
  • translation of PMI standarts to Russian language

We invite everyone who is interested in project management to join the chapter, and the most active are to take part in the chapter's work and the development of the profession.
